You click the icon
Chrome hands a tab’s sound to an extension only after a real click on it. That click is the whole switch: no autostart, no background listening, nothing to forget to turn off.

It hears the meeting
The audio of that one tab goes to speech recognition and comes back as lines with speaker names. Only the last dozen lines are kept, in the memory of the tab.

A line looks like a request
A cheap local check throws away the “yeah”, “sure” and “one second” of a conversation. What is left — a question, an instruction, a line with your name in it — is worth asking a model about.

The model decides who was asked
It sees the recent lines, the participants and your own name, and answers one question: was this addressed to you? If not, nothing is shown.

A card appears
The question as it was heard, and a short answer you can say in your own words. Below the confidence threshold, or the same question twice in a minute, and no card appears at all.

Live answers
Two or three sentences, written to be said out loud rather than read from a screen. The answer is in the language you pick; the question stays in the language of the meeting.
Question detection
Questions, follow-ups and instructions — “walk me through”, “what would you do if” — are caught without a keyword or a hotkey. The threshold and the dedup window are ours to tune, and they are why the window stays quiet most of the call.
Ask it yourself
A field at the bottom of the window sends your own question with the meeting as context. It skips every automatic gate — you asked, so it answers.
Answers in your language
The meeting can be in one language and the answer in another: 68 to choose from, browser language by default.
A window, not an overlay you fight
It moves, it resizes, it lives in its own shadow tree so the meeting’s styles cannot reach it — and its own styles cannot reach the meeting.
You see what it heard
A strip of recognised lines runs under the cards. When an answer is odd, that strip usually shows why — a name misheard, a sentence cut in half.
Before, during, after
The whole product lives inside the call.
Most meeting tools do their work after everyone has hung up. This one is useless afterwards and useful in the thirty seconds you are being looked at.
Before the call
Nothing to prepare. There is no brief to fill in, no documents to upload and no bot to invite — you open the meeting the way you always do.
During the call
Click once. Questions aimed at you turn into cards with short answers; anything else stays out of the way. You can ask your own question at any point.
After the call
Nothing is left. No transcript, no summary, no recording, no history — the window closes and the lines are gone. What stays is the count of minutes you used.

Said here rather than discovered on your third call. If one of these is what you actually need, we would rather you knew now.
No answers from your documents
Cue answers from what was said in the call, not from your knowledge base. There is nowhere to upload a document because nothing would read it.
No action items list
A card can be marked as a task rather than a question, but there is no list of action items, no owner, no deadline and no export.
No notes, no summary, no recording
This is not a note taker. Nothing is written down during the call and nothing is emailed afterwards.
No desktop apps
The Zoom and Teams desktop applications live outside the browser, where no extension can reach them. Cue works in browser tabs.

Privacy
Where the sound and the text go.
The audio of the tab is streamed from your browser straight to our speech-to-text provider over an encrypted connection — it does not pass through our servers and is never recorded. The recognised lines go to our backend, become one prompt for the model, and are dropped with the answer. Nothing about the meeting is written to a database or to our logs.
What we keep
- An install record — an anonymous identifier for your copy of the extension.
- Counters — minutes used and answers shown, by day. This is what your plan is measured against.
- An account, if you make one — your email, so a plan bought on one machine works on another.
No meetings, no transcripts, no recordings. There is nothing on our side to hand over, because nothing is kept.
FAQ
Questions about the features.
How many cards can be on screen at once?+
Three. A fourth pushes out the oldest one. The window is meant to be glanced at mid-sentence, not read like a feed.
Why did it stay silent when I was asked something?+
Either the model judged the question was not aimed at you, or its confidence was below the threshold, or the same question already had a card in the last minute. You can always ask it yourself in the field at the bottom.
Can I turn off the automatic cards?+
Yes. With automatic answers off, the window only reacts to questions you type in yourself. The switch works when the answer arrives, not by asking the model nicely.
Does it answer questions asked of other people?+
No. That is the one thing the model is asked to decide, and the check runs again on our side when the answer comes back.
What happens when my minutes run out?+
The cards stop and the window says so. The meeting is not interrupted in any way — Cue is a passenger in the tab, not part of the call.
Does it work if the meeting is in another language?+
Yes. Recognition follows the meeting, the answer follows your pick — 68 languages in the window.
